Mark 16:13-14, Luke 24:33-49 and John 20:19-23
And the two, who spoke to Jesus on the road to Emmaus, rose up the same hour and returned to Jerusalem, and found the eleven gathered together, and them that were with them.
The two: The Lord is risen indeed, and has appeared to Simon.
And they told what things were done in the way, and how he was known of them in breaking of bread.
Mark 16:13 They did not believe them.
And as they thus spoke, Jesus himself stood in the midst of them.
Jesus: Peace be to you.
But they were terrified and affrighted, and supposed that they had seen a spirit.
Jesus: Why are you troubled? And why do thoughts arise in your hearts? Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit does not have flesh and bones, as you see I have.
And when he had spoken, he showed them his hands and his feet.
Mark 16:14 And he upbraided them for their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe them who had seen him after he was risen.
Then the disciples were glad, when they saw the Lord.
Jesus: Peace be to you. As my Father has sent me, even so send I you.
And when he had said this, he breathed on them.
Jesus: Receive the Holy Ghost: Whose soever sins you remit, they are remitted to them; and whose soever sins you retain, they are retained.
They did not yet believed for joy, and they wondered.
Jesus: Have you any meat here?
And they gave him a piece of a broiled fish and of a honeycomb.
And he took it and did eat before them.
Jesus: These are the words which I spoke to you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.
Then Jesus opened their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures.
Jesus: Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. And you are witnesses of these things. And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry in the city of Jerusalem, until you are endued with power from on high.
