In the Resurrection

Found in Matthew 22:23-33, Mark 2:18-27 and Luke 20:27-40.
That same day the Sadducees  came to Jesus. The Sadducees say there is no resurrection. (Matthew 22:23)

The Sadducees: Master, Moses wrote to us, If a man’s brother dies and leaves his wife behind him, and leaves no children, that his brother should take his wife, and raise up seed to his brother. Now there were seven brothers: and the first took a wife, and dying left no seed. And the second took her, and died, neither left he any seed: and the third likewise. And the seven had her, and left no seed: last of all the woman died also. In the resurrection therefore, when they shall rise, whose wife shall she be of them? For the seven had her to wife.

Jesus: Do you not therefore err, because you do not know the scriptures, neither the power of God? (Mark 12:19-24)

Jesus: The children of this world marry and are given in marriage: But they, who shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry nor are given in marriage. Neither can they die any more: for they are equal to the angels and are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection. (Luke 20:34-36)

Jesus: And as touching the dead, that they rise: haven’t you read in the book of Moses, how in the bush God spoke to him, saying, I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? He is not the God of the dead, but the God of the living: you therefore do greatly err. (Mark 12:26-27)

And when the multitude heard this, they were astonished at his doctrine.  (Matthew 22:33)

Certain of the scribes: Master, you have said well.

And after that the Sadducees did not ask him any question at all. (Luke 20:39-40)
