Revelation 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. Revelation 12:4 And his tail drew the third part of the stars (angels) of heaven, and did cast them to the earth:
1 John 3:8 …for the devil sinneth from the beginning…
In Luke 10:18 Jesus said, “I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.”
Isaiah 14:12-16 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit. They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms;
Ezekiel 28:11-19 Moreover the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyrus, and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord God; Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty. Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created. Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee. By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire. Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee. Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee. All they that know thee among the people shall be astonished at thee: thou shalt be a terror, and never shalt thou be any more.
In Genesis 3:1-6 Satan tempts Eve. Vs 13-15, …And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat. And the Lord God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life: And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
Acts 16:20 And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly.
In Job 1:6-12 and 2:1-7, we see Satan in the presence of the Lord. Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan came also among them. (1:6 and again in 2:1) God and Satan discussed Job. In 1:10 Satan says God has put a hedge (of protection) around Job. “Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side?”
Job 1:7 (and again in 2:2) is a revealing statement: And the Lord said unto Satan, From whence comest thou? And Satan answered the Lord, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.
2 Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

Hebrews 2:14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he (Christ) also himself likewise took part of the same (became flesh); that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;
We see Satan tempting Jesus in Matthew 4 and Luke 4. During this time, Satan shows Jesus “all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: FOR THAT IS DELIVERED UNTO ME; AND TO WHOMSOEVER I WILL I GIVE IT.” Luke 4:5-6 (we don’t know if this is true since Satan is speaking, and we know that he is a liar.)
John 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
However do we know that Satan is the “god of this world” for a season. 2 Corinthians 4:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
While tempting Jesus, the devil quoted scripture. Luke 4:9-11 (also Matthew 4:5-6) And he (the devil) brought him (Jesus) to Jerusalem, and set him on a pinnacle of the temple, and said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down from hence: For it is written, He shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee: And in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.
Jesus told the parable of the sower in Mark 4:3-8. Shortly after, he explained the parable to the twelve apostles. (Mark 4:14-20) Verse 15 says, these are they by the way side, where the word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts (lest they should believe and be saved Luke 8:12)
In Matthew 13:37-39, Jesus explains the parable of the wheat and the tares…He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man; The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one; The enemy that sowed them is the devil;
In Luke 13:11-16, Jesus saw “a woman which had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bowed together, and could in no wise lift up herself.” He healed her. And “when the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because that Jesus had healed on the sabbath day,” Jesus answered “…ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day?”
In Matthew 16:23, Jesus called Peter Satan, saying “Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men.”

In Acts 13:10 Paul said to Elymas the sorcerer, “O full of all subtilty and all mischief, thou child of the devil, thou enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord?”
In Acts 26:18 Paul told of his experience on the road to Damascus. Jesus told Paul, “unto whom (the Gentiles) now I send thee, To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me”
When writing of our need to forgive others, Paul wrote in 2 Corinthians 2:11, “Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.”
In 1 Corinthian 7:5, Paul wrote to couples. “Defraud ye not one the other, except it be with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency.” Paul meant “Do not deprive one another sexually — except when you agree for a time, to devote yourselves to prayer. Then come together again; otherwise, Satan may tempt you because of your lack of self-control.” HCSB
2 Corinthians 1:11-12 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
In 2 Corinthians 12:7 Paul wrote, “And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure.”
In 1 Thessalonians 2:18 Paul wrote: …we would have come unto you, even I Paul, once and again; but Satan hindered us.
In the epistles we are given some instructions in regard to the devil.
Ephesians 4:27 Neither give place to the devil.

1 Timothy 3:6-7 regarding a bishop, Paul wrote: Not a novice, lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil. Moreover he must have a good report of them which are without; lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil.
2 Timothy 2:25-26 In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.
James 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
1 John 3:8,10 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. …In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.
In Revelation 12:10 Satan is called “the accuser of our brethren.”
What will be Satan’s fate?
2 Thessalonians 2:8-9 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders
Revelation 20:2-3And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.
Revelation 20:7-10And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea. And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them. And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
Matthew 25:41 …Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:
